Italian Symbol

The symbol I have chosen represents the fashion culture born in Italy. In the picture, there is a bag showing as well as with the word “Milan”. I chose this because Milan is ranked as the fourth fashion city after Paris, London and New York in the global fashion industry.

Many famous luxury brands such as Fendi, Gucci and Miumiu were founded in Italy, this country is well known as the birthplace of fashion and good quality made products. The country has quite a history in fashion. Therefore, fashion can also be recognised as the symbol of Italy.
WHY BECAME SYMBOLIC
Date back to the very early centuries when Renaissance reach its peak in Italy absorbed enormous new elements into its culture and mixed it with life.
Later after World War II, American provided funds to Italy and many arisen designers started to design clothes and bags with premium quality materials. Americans loved their design and brought them back. Italian designs started to spread all over the world at that time.

THE ATTRACTION FOR TOURISM

This fashion industry in Italy brings many tourism for Italy every year, especially during Milan fashiaon week. Every year people from all over the world come to see the show and visit Italy.

More than 40 shows are presented in Milan Fashion Week.
HOWEVER
It does not fully show the image of Italy. There are more than only fashion in Italy culture such as food, festivals and architectures.

We can never define a country or city with a single symbol. It will be stereotype if we only like the place for what it’s famous. For Italy, it is for sure famous for its fashion and people come and visit since they are attracted by this. However, it has more than fashion! People who love Italian food should also come and check it out!
