I believe everyone will have heard of Milan Fashion Week. Me personally love fashion stuffs and will pay attention to all the fashion week, including Milan Fashion Week. This is one of the event that Italy connects itself to the world.

The event raise my concerns in how can the event be done better and raise greater infuluence in the world. As a commerce girl, I do not only looking at the style of the leading fashion but also pay attention to how does all brands are doing the marketing for their new designs.
The dates of Milan fashion week is confimed at almost the same time every year. People leave time for the months that the Milan fashion week happens. Brands which are taking part in in the show starting to promoting the fashion week through social media. Thanks to technologies, the shows can be shared through social media. People who can’t participate will be able to share their thoughts online. It creates a topic for people from different parts of the world to talk about!

Milan Fashion Week (MFW) was established in 1958, it is part of the global “Big Four Fashion Weeks”. It is usually held every year in September and October (Spring and Summer), February and March (Autumn and Winter). MFW considered as one of the most important events in Italy since it connects this country to the world and make international engagement.
In terms of commerce, Milan Fashion Week has significant effects on retail and branding. It is a platform that gathers designers, brands and customers from all over the world together.

To learn more about how the Milan Fashion Week started and became famous, the disciplinary skills in searching for information gained during my study at univesity come in handy. I did some research on the city as well as its history and leanrt that every single successful event does not came in without efforts invested.

Italy has been the center for great textiles and fabrics for centuries. It is a reservoir of traditions in cloth making and expertise for the luxury market that rival France. “Made in Italy” has been the most generalised concept of a Italian fashion. Famous for its merchandise brand expressing excellence of creativity and craftsmanship, the country earns itself great reputation in the fashion industry.
With the advantages above, Milan developes itself into a city which take in millions of people from the world every year and transforms the itself into a touristic hob by creating different venues for the shows selecting the most elegant and influential palaces to its stage for design.

The power of fashion cannot never be negalected. However, an international enegagement is not achieved by one single factor. People who are good at event planning, marketing will also be needed!
